"Snow Chamber of Secrets", also known as "Snow without footprints", is one of the "no footprints". The word "secret room" originally refers to a room that is inaccessible in a realistic sense, but then many deformations have been derived, resulting in a variety of generalized secret rooms, and "no footprint" is one of them. When it comes to "no footprints", some people may think that "there are no footprints in the snow". It is not. "No footprint" is an abbreviation for "no murderer's footprint". That is to say, even if there are many footprints in the snow, as long as there are no murderer's footprints, they can be counted as "no footprints."

according to Robert Eddie's Chamber of Secrets Bible, the world's first article "death in Flying" was written by Samuel Hopkins Adams in 1903. This short story published in Seaside Magazine is not only a pioneer in this field but also a masterpiece. Unfortunately, the crime scene is a beach, not the snow we like to see. three years later, in 1906, "the Flying Man" and "the Flying Man" were published, showing the charm of the Snow Chamber to the world for the first time.

there are many ways to classify the works of Snow Secrets. The man of the second class once put forward the "handout" in his masterpiece, "the House of Bloodsucking", which is also the pinnacle of the teacher of the second class, in which there are nine categories according to the method of committing the crime, including almost all the trickery without footprints from ancient times to the present. Snow secret rooms can be classified into three categories according to riddles.

1. The snow has no footprints at all. this is the most traditional way of writing. Most of the riddles are "there is a body in the middle of the snow, and there are no footprints around the body." This kind of work is the oldest, and there are many famous works. For example, the second cause of Carl's most famous work, "three coffins", is shot without footprints in the snow. The advantage of this kind of work is that the riddle is gorgeous, and the scene often presents a very perfect and natural state. But correspondingly, the disadvantage is that the change is too little, the answer is single, in the present era, it will inevitably feel boring.

2. There are footprints in the snow. although this kind of work was born late, "having a footprint" makes this kind of work a lot of variables, and it is still challenged by many reasoning writers today. "although there are footprints in the snow, there are no footprints of the murderer." There is a lot of room for such a riddle, for example, there may be the footprints of Witness An in the snow, but Witness A has an alibi for the murder; for example, there are multiple sets of footprints back and forth in the snow. then the work can have a long discussion about who these footprints are; and many writers like to write about the footprints of animals, dogs, wolves, and even bears in the snow. Why are there footprints of these animals? Is it a coincidence or is it the killer's trick?

III. A room surrounded by snow. this is the most innovative category. The snow secret room is connected with the real house, which is a double-secret room, and its answers are naturally varied. There are not many such works. I think there is still a lot of room for innovation in this kind of trick, which we will discuss at the end.

This work, published in the name of Carter Dixon, is the second film in the Henry Melville series and Carl's first Snow Chamber work. The most interesting thing about this book is that its riddle is the second kind of "footprints in the snow", which is very rare in early European and American works (the other is Hector Talbot's "fate of Hell", slightly later than "White Monastery"). three coffins are the sixth work of the Gideon Phil series. Pin, ranked 40th on the list of the best 100 mystery novels in history by the Crime Writers Association. The English version of the book, originally called "The Hollow Man", was renamed "The Three Coffins" when it was published in the United States. in 2001, the book was first translated into Chinese in the murder store series of Taiwan Yuanliu Publishing House, which was translated from the American version with the title "three coffins." In 2004, Yilin Publishing House in mainland China was authorized by Yuanliu Publishing House and adopted the translation from Taiwan. This book contains two secret rooms in the snow, one is "the house closed by heavy snow", and the other is the real "no footprints in the snow". This book can be said to be a must-read for reasoning fans, so there is no need for my recommendation. the earlier snow secret room in Japan can be traced back to Tetsuya Nagawa's short story "White Chamber". The Taiwan translation of this work is included in the lethal Chamber of Secrets. The riddle is "a room surrounded by snow". Although it is a very old work and the trick is relatively old, it becomes very interesting when it is combined with the reversal of a character's relationship. In his "Chamber of Secrets Criminology course", Tiancheng evaluates this work as "LeBron", which can be said to be a masterpiece in the secret room in the snow. It is worth mentioning that Berlin 1888 (Berlin-1888 1967), which won the 13th Edogawa Walk Award in 1967, also has a snow-secret room with a principle similar to that of "White Chamber of Secrets". By contrast, the snow-secret room in Berlin 1888 is so simple and boring that it is not recommended. But if you are interested in German history, this book is worth reading.

although the age of this work is very late, it is indeed a classical book. Paul Holt's achievements in the Chamber of Secrets are on a par with Carl's. The house was covered with snow, and the people in the house were killed. the murderer was nowhere to be seen, but there were no tracks in the snow. It's a gorgeous riddle, and the answer is reasonable. This secret room is only a small part of the book, in addition to a variety of puzzles and serial tricks. Coupled with the fast-paced story of the whole process, it can be said to be a comprehensive classical masterpiece. Even if I don't like the Snow Chamber, I don't think I'll hate this one. If you read the snow secret room for the first time, you can try the water with this book "the fourth door". By contrast, Holt's other Snow Chamber feature-length "the King of chaos" is inferior, in which the trick is slightly simpler and weaker than the main trick of the novel.

This book can be said to be a textbook-like work of "No footprint" for two reasons: first, there are two cases of no footprint, and the answers are reasonable and innovative. The first snow-secret room is the highlight of the whole article. Although the riddle is similar to the White Monastery, its complexity is much higher than that of the former. Second, the "no footprint" handout attached to this work divides the "no footprint" method into nine categories from the perspective of trickery, covering almost all the trickery in history, which is very comprehensive. For Japanese fans, "Blood-sucking House" can be used as the first book of second-class Tang Li people. after all, the reasoning part is of very high quality, and it won't feel bad even if it's not right.
